It is probably our most iconic bike! Already one of the most innovative bikes of its time, the Radical + quite simply revolutionized the world of mountain biking by dominating DH competitions in the 90s. It enabled the discipline’s greatest champions to win the world’s biggest competitions, and made SUNN until today the most titled brands in MTB history! The new-generation RADICAL has made its comeback in a 100% Enduroversion! True to its downhill DNA, nimble and fast on the slopes, this bike is above all designed for performance, cut out to devour competitions. 

We’ve never pushed the envelope so far!

Our R&D team has worked hard to create a machine that is as radical as it is versatile: it offers both ultra-high performance and fast descents, while maintaining the right level of tolerance and comfort so that it’s not just for the elite 😉!

To achieve this perfect balance, we took inspiration from the cutting-edge technologies used in Formula 1 and MotoGPand applied them to the world of mountain biking. Together with our partner Antidote Solutions, we developed a methodology using ultra-sensitive telemetry sensors to measure suspension performance and optimize the bike’s kinematics and settings. 

Completely redesigned frame

The big news compared to its predecessor is its 100% carbon frame! Our team meticulously selected and tested the best Toray carbon fibers to find the right balance between infallible rigidity and suppleness! The result is a perfect compromise between stability and dynamism, allowing you to maintain control and grip in all circumstances, so you can concentrate on your riding. This new lightweight chassis, with its agile, muscular design, gives you the comfort you need to go fast without sacrificing precision in the more technical sections.

Custom suspension system

Working closely with our partner Antidote Solutions, as well as both Fox and RockShoxtech teams, we calibrated all of our suspension settings to measure. The use of telemetry, with a bike equipped with sensors, allowed us to gather a wealth of information and ultra-precise measurements during the (very) many test sessions to arrive at an optimal suspension calibration for each type of terrain and each frame/shock/fork/wheel and tire configuration. This high-pivot suspension, built around the famous mono-pivot/tilt-link system, has made the RADICAL a legend for years!

Why so Radical?

Its Radical Geometry means we’ve gone back to the very essence of what makes a good Endurobike, fine-tuning every dimension of the frame down to the last millimeter: The 64°open head angle and long reach ensure stability and a high capacity to engage on the steepest descents. The 77.5°seat tube angle provides an efficient pedaling position for relaunching and climbing obstacles. The reduced BB height contributes to greater stability in fast sections. Rear 445mm BB provides the right compromise between rock-solid balance and incredible cornering grip.
