Tilia 2.0

Product description

Sustainably produced e-bikes from the Black Forest, named after the trees that we plant ourselves together with dealers, suppliers and enthusiastic forest bikers. A European supply chain based on sustainability, flexibility and close, personal cooperation with our suppliers and dealers. We try to do things differently, not only to put a “Waldbike grin” on our customers’ faces, but also to rethink the structures of the bicycle industry and market.

Tilia 2.0
After the beginnings of our manufactory in 2023 with open mold solutions and delicate attempts to establish the most sustainable production and supply chain possible, we are launching our first self-developed and completely European product range in 2026 with Tilia 2.0, Sorbus 2.0 and Castanea.
The Tilia 2.0 is our attempt to create a multifunctional trekking pedelec that meets our customers’ demands for everyday practicality and transport capacity while remaining sporty and off-road capable enough to keep the fun of cycling high on our local forest trails.
Named after the “winter lime tree”, the tree that we plant in the Calw city forest for every Tilia we produce, this bike embodies the ideal compromise between the two worlds.
Based on a frame developed and designed by us in Germany, which is welded in Europe from mostly recycled aluminum and with components from European production, we try to come ever closer to our claim of sustainability in the supply chain and production, without having to compromise on usability.
We assemble each Tilia individually and adjust it perfectly for the customer in terms of ergonomics. Fully equipping the contact points with SQ Lab products enables both us and our dealers to fit bikes ergonomically according to customer requirements. In addition, all Waldbike dealers work with SmartFit or comparable measuring systems, which enable us to produce bikes that are already perfectly adjusted to order.
Components from DT Swiss (custom forks for high system weight), Rotor (electronic shifting performance from Spain) and either a slim luggage rack solution from Hebie or a long heavy-duty luggage rack specially developed for us by Kronfeld and produced in Germany ensure maximum usability, geared to the wishes and needs of our customers.
With the QORE motor, we are relying on a German-made drive for our new models and are proud to be closely involved in the development of the system as an official development partner of Yamaha-ebike-Systems (formerly Brose).
