FPS-ROAD+ – Individual ergonomics for sporty racing bike use
The FPS-ROAD+ is an individually calculated road bike saddle from Fingerprint Cycling’s PERFECT FIT SERIES. It is developed from the human body and its anatomy and combines comfort, performance and robustness based on engineering methods from mechanical engineering and materials science.
The development is based on a seat impression using a fingerprint memory kit, supplemented by rider-specific parameters such as seating position, riding style and area of use. Specially developed software then calculates the individual saddle construction from the modular shell concept and 3D-printed structure.
The 3D-printed TPU structure replaces conventional padding. It is zonally adapted, supports power transmission and relieves sensitive areas through targeted internal geometry instead of cut-outs. The closed surface distributes pressure evenly, avoids pressure peaks and increases robustness – a unique feature of Fingerprint Cycling.
The FPS-ROAD+ is based on a modular platform with a three-shell concept. The load-tested lower shell is responsible for power transmission, while the bolted frame defines clear load paths. The individually designed intermediate shell controls damping and progression. Depending on the version, PA-CF or carbon as well as frames made of CrMo, titanium or carbon are used.
The model range includes the configurable Tour, Endurance, Comfort, Performance and Elite riding profiles – each for men and women. Designed as a platform, the models differ in terms of material and alignment, but not in terms of basic ergonomic logic.
