The popular CYCLINGWORLD EUROPE Awards are set to return in 2027 with exciting new developments. While the expert jury will once again honor the best products with awards in a total of nine categories this year, the community will vote publicly to select its three favorites (gold, silver, and bronze) across all categories. The expert jury has no influence whatsoever on the community voting—the decisions rest entirely with the community. With this format, we want to incorporate the opinions and feedback of the cycling community even more.

The remaining awards are presented by the expert jury, which is composed of industry experts.

To best reflect the diversity of the bicycle industry, the awards are divided into bike categories as well as supplementary product and special categories. In 2027, there will again be a total of nine categories to choose from, including seven specifically for bikes:
  • Best Cargo Bike
  • Best Gravel Bike
  • Best Kids Bike
  • Best MTB/ATB Bike
  • Best Road/Race Bike
  • Best Tour/SUV Bike
  • Best Urban Bike

In all bike categories, entries with and without an “E” are accepted.

In addition to these, there are two other categories:

  • Best Fashion & Accessories
  • Best Parts/Components/Technology

From among all submitted products, the expert jury will also award special honors, provided there are sufficient product reviews to support them:

  • Best Product of the Year
  • Best Innovation
  • Sustainability

The Best Innovation Award recognizes products that offer a distinctly new or significantly improved approach compared to existing solutions, thereby creating relevant added value. The innovation may lie in a single idea or feature, or it may stem from the intelligent interplay of various technologies, functions, and design approaches. What matters is not the number of innovations, but the resulting progress.

The “Best Product of the Year ” award recognizes the most outstanding product among all entries. In this category, only one Gold Award is presented; there are no Silver or Bronze awards.

Look forward to inspiring innovations, outstanding design, and extraordinary concepts that will shape the cycling world of tomorrow. As usual, the awards will be presented as part of CYCLINGWORLD EUROPE 2027, which will take place in Düsseldorf from March 12 to 14, 2027.

The first step is to register your product using the registration form on our website. Once we’ve verified your information, we’ll send you a personalized upload link. You can then use this link to conveniently submit all relevant information, images, and documents related to your product. Once the upload is complete, you’ll receive your submission again for a final review and approval before the competition officially begins.  

The amount of the registration fee depends on when you register and whether you are an exhibitor at CYCLINGWORLD EUROPE:

Early Bird (through November 13, 2026)
€160.00 for exhibitors
€220.00 for non-exhibitors

Regular Rate (through December 11, 2026)
€180.00 for exhibitors
€250.00 for non-exhibitors

Late Fee (as of December 12, 2026)
€230.00 for exhibitors
€320.00 for non-exhibitors

The date of registration via the online form on our website determines which rate tier applies. Product information can then be submitted via the personal upload link within the applicable deadlines.

From submission to the awards ceremony. Here you’ll find all the important dates and deadlines for the CYCLINGWORLD Awards at a glance:

November 13, 2026 – End of the early-bird rate
December 11, 2026 – End of the standard rate
January 10, 2027 – End of the submission and nomination period
January 24, 2027 – Start of community voting

March 11, 2027 – Meeting of the Expert Jury
March 12, 2027 – Awards Ceremony

Jury Evaluation

Once the submission period ends, our expert jury will review all submitted products and make a shortlist for the final jury vote. Using the online voting tool, the jury members will first gain a comprehensive overview of all submissions and decide which products they would like to advance to the final round. If your product is selected for the final round, we will inform you in a timely manner about the next steps and the necessary requirements for providing the product.

⚠️ Important Note: Only products that can be presented to the expert jury in person during the final jury session are eligible for the final evaluation and the awarding of a prize.

Community Voting

In addition to the Expert Jury Award, all submitted products are automatically entered into the community voting (with the exception of products under embargo). The voting is open to the public and offers the opportunity to actively engage your own community and generate additional attention for the product.

The three products with the most votes across all categories will be honored with Gold, Silver, and Bronze – Community Voting awards.

⚠️Important note: There isn’t a community winner in every category; there are only these three prizes in total.

Furthermore, an additional title will be awarded in each category: Most Voted. This is awarded to the product with the most votes within the respective category. This title is an Honorable Mention and is awarded with a certificate, but is not associated with an award ceremony on stage.
