“Think global. Drink locally.” With locally delicious and climate-neutral lemonades from Haan, ClimAid wants to make a small sustainable contribution to combating climate change and produce drinks that do not further pollute the climate with unnecessary CO₂ emissions. The idea behind this is based on three pillars:

In order to keep the_{CO2 footprint} as low as possible, the drinks are only delivered within a maximum radius of 100 km from the production site in Haan. Naturally in returnable glass bottles and crates that belong to a pool.

All ClimAid products are climate-neutral. This means that the entire beverage production chain does not change the balance of greenhouse gas concentrations in our earth’s atmosphere. This applies to the product equipment, the delivery of raw materials, production and storage as well as transportation to retail.

At the production site in Haan, measures are already being taken together with the bottler to gradually reduce energy consumption, conserve resources and fundamentally reduce_{CO2 emissions}. The production, storage and logistics of our products nevertheless generate_CO2 emissions that cannot yet be avoided. ClimAid also wants to take responsibility for these emissions and is therefore working with ClimatePartner, a leading provider of climate protection solutions for companies, to determine the remaining_{CO2 emissions} and offset them by supporting certified forest protection projects in Zambia, Brazil and Colombia.

However, as ClimAid believes that climate protection should start on your own doorstep, the start-up supports regional projects within a radius of 100 km that are committed to climate and environmental protection in NRW with €1 per crate sold. With this initiative, ClimAid wants to harness the power of community and motivate others to apply with innovative ideas and exciting projects in order to implement them together and bring about truly significant change. Almost €100,000 has already been raised and various reforestation initiatives, environmental protection projects and innovative ideas for CO₂ reduction and resource conservation have been supported. Now ClimAid is looking for more climate friends and new exciting projects that need support.
