First long distance – How to get there
Tim | Grevet founder and rider
Six years of Grevet. Thousands of starters. Worn-out bags, bikes that are pushed on the last kilometers, WD-40 at the gas station and desperately bought brake pads along the way. Always the same patterns: wrong pace at the beginning, energy mistakes after 200 km, decisions made under exhaustion.
The lecture shows what really happens at kilometers 236, 380 and 582 – and what you need to know beforehand so that you don’t have to learn it along the way.
Long distance is not a fitness problem. It’s a decision-making problem.
The basics were developed in the 19th century on gravel roads with much poorer equipment. The equipment has improved. Night, fatigue and decision-making pressure have not.
For beginners to long-distance gravel – and for all those who prefer to learn from other people’s mistakes rather than their own.
